Overview

Discover where you’re wasting energy and reduce your energy bill.

Fluke 1730 enables users to capture the data they need to make energy savings in their facilities.

By discovering where, when and how much energy is being used allows energy usage to be compared with activity in the facility.

1730 consists of measurement hardware and application software so that data can be collected and reports created with the minimum of effort.
The 1730 instrument is incredibly easy to use; it even makes automatic checks to ensure the user has connected the leads and current sensors up correctly.

There are several ways to power the new Fluke 1730 energy logger the first one is simply just to power.

the unit on using the internal battery that comes with the unit you can also use an external battery here to extend the life and allow you to do longer studies or longer troubleshooting.

While out in the field now with that said you can take this plug it on to the back and use that individually. like this, you can also charge this battery via your ports at the top whether you using AC power and a wall outlet.

This you can just plug in here plug into the wall and then you can simply plug it on to the base of the unit this.

Then allows you to go ahead and charge the unit and use that power while you are doing your study another way that you can go ahead and charge this unit is to simply disconnect your AC power.

You can actually use the power that you are Measuring to go ahead and charge the battery here itself by using a couple of jumper leads.
Here you can plug these into the top of a unit depending upon whether you have Delta or a Wye configuration this.

One will be plugged into maybe the neutral or the l2 depending upon your set your system setup if you were using the battery externally and you wanted to go ahead and take that off.

Because of space constraints, you can either have this side by side the units and have it connected via a connector here about three-foot connector you can go ahead and plug this into the base. That the way actually measuring with Fluke 1730/EUS Three-Phase Electrical Energy Logger.

Features

  • Key measurements: Voltage, current, power, power factor and associated values enable you to optimize and implement your energy saving strategies.
  • Bright, color touch screen: Perform convenient in-the-field analysis and data checks with full graphical display.
  • Power the instrument directly from the measured circuit: Eliminating the need to find a power outlet while allowing the instrument to be secured safely inside electrical panels. Wide voltage range from 90V to 550V AC.
  • Comprehensive logging: More than 20 separate logging sessions can be stored on the instrument. In fact, all measured values are automatically logged and can be reviewed during logging and before downloading for on-the-go analysis.
  • Two USB ports: One for WiFi or direct PC connection and another for fast, simple download to standard USB thumb drives, or other USB devices (WiFi requires external USB WiFi adaptor).
  • Optimized user interface: Capture the right data every time with quick, guided, graphical setup and reduce uncertainty about your connections with the intelligent verification function.
  • Complete “in-the-field” setup through the front panel: No need to return to the workshop for download and setup or to take a computer to the electrical panel.
  • Compact size: Designed to fit in tight spaces and panels.
  • Highest safety rating in the industry: 600 V CAT IV/1000 V CAT III rated for use at the service entrance and downstream.
  • Optimized measurement accessories: Flat voltage cable and thin flexible current probes ensure easy installation even in tight spaces.
  • Battery life: Four-hour operating time (backup time) per charge on lithium-ion battery.
  • Security: We safeguard your best asset from theft with an option to use a hefty, durable Kensington lock.
  • Energy Analyze application software: Download and analyze a snapshot of your energy savings potential with our automated reporting – export data into RTF for editing with you preferred word processing application.
